The use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is essential to the goal of ending AIDS as a public health threat, but users and professionals have questions about when, how and by whom this preventive measure should be used. These flowcharts seek to provide guidance on the use of this strategy and to clarify these doubts, especially in specific cases such as use from the age of 15 and the use of PrEP on demand.
