Zínia is a typeface with straight serifs and a humanist inspiration for good readability, but with sharp angles and other characteristics to make it expressive in large sizes. It was designed to have good visual ergonomics in texts and to withstand printing processes susceptible to errors, such as photocopying or screen printing. Throughout the process of creating this typeface, several tools were created to try to guide, measure and document its properties in academic work. The final result was evaluated and adjusted based on the comments of excellent Brazilian type designers: Ana Laydner, Fábio Haag, Flora de Carvalho and Henrique Beier. The monograph received academic recognition from APDESIGN.
